Inspire9 isn’t about business as usual, it’s business as unusual - productive, collaborative work spaces.
Set in a converted factory adjacent to the Richmond train station, Inspire9 is the home of some of the world's most innovative and disruptive businesses, creating a unique workplace environment for design, technology and social change.
Location: Level 1, 41 Stewart Street Richmond, Victoria
Cost: Min. $450 for up to 15 students, plus $30 per additional student
Max. class size: By Negotiation
Time: Approximately 2 hours between 9.00am and 3.00pm (Time slot may be negotiated)
Other: No GST is applicable to the excursion for registered schools
Understanding – Students will have a tour of the Inspire9 facilities and develop an understanding of what a collaborative working community is, and how it functions.
Inquiry – Students will explore the theme of Self-Employment as a Career Option.
Students will be able to:
- Identify the seven key skills needed to start a business.
- Understand how Foundation Skills support the key skills of successful business.
- Learn about the seven ways to ‘Fail Forward’
- Participate in a Q&A forum with some of the Inspire9 clients, to describe their Start-Up journey, ’failing forward’ and experience as entrepreneurs.
Application – Students will have the opportunity to attend the weekend workshop program.
